Privacy policy

This notice explains how LEM International S.r.l. handles the personal data of people who visit lem-international.com or contact us, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003.

Data controller

What data we process

Browsing data: like any web server, the systems running the site record IP address, date and time, the page requested and the browser type. They are used only to run and protect the site. Data you send us: if you write to us, we process your address and whatever you choose to tell us. The site has no forms, builds no profiles and uses no analytics or advertising tools.

Purposes and legal bases

Replying to your messages and handling any pre-contractual or contractual relationship (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); keeping the site secure and preventing abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); complying with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Retention

Technical server logs are kept only as long as security requires, normally no longer than 30 days. Correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle the request and any relationship that follows, and then as long as the law requires.

Recipients

Data is processed by our authorised staff and by the providers that host the site and our e-mail, appointed as processors. The site’s server is in the European Union. Where a provider processes data outside the EU, the transfer relies on the safeguards set out in the GDPR (an adequacy decision such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or standard contractual clauses). Data is never sold or published.

Your rights

You may at any time ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interest (Arts. 15–22 GDPR), by writing to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
